Nathan presented a workshop to our Year 11 students through Google Meets today. It was the first time we had tried to run a session like this remotely and Nathan was fantastic. He ensured the session was as interactive as it could be and the students were invited to ask and answer questions through the chat function. The students were engaged and his presentation was funny as well as inspirational. Nathan worked with us using our preferred online platform and he took the time to ensure the technology worked and the program would run smoothly. He had a great set-up with his presentation behind him so the students could see him as he presented. The students commented that they really enjoyed the presentation and we look forward to welcoming Nathan back to our school again this year, hopefully in the flesh when we can gather as a bigger group. Thanks Nathan and Team

Online Presentations (Zoom / Google Meets)

In 2020 we have encountered challenges which saw schools, businesses and whole communities going into lock down.

As a result Nathan has been able to offer his workshops and presentations through the use of virtual video based technologies like Zoom and Google meets, to continue to engage, inspire and empower young people to understand themselves, be their best and make a change in their world.

The ability to present virtually also makes it possible for your school to have Nathan work with your students at a reduced investment, not having to pay for his travel and reducing the time it takes for him to get to and from your location.

Contact Nathan’s booking manager today (bookings@nathanhulls.com) if you’re interested in having Nathan work with your students through a Zoom or Google meets workshop or presentation.

Decide Your Own Destiny – Motivational Presentation

crowd1Audience: Year 7 – 12
Focus:
Motivation, Self Esteem, Empowerment, Real Success, Responsibility
Content: Nathan’s own story of being born with a disability, facing bullying and overcoming adversity to live the life of his dreams
Length: 60 minutes

Imagine an audience of hundreds of teenagers, in fits of laughter, being drawn in, opening their hearts and minds. Then the raw truth of life comes into full view. The story of a boy born with a disability, the first known case in Australia, facing the future of being different, but desperately wanting just to fit in. Facing teasing, bullying and being labelled. Going through the grief of losing his mum at a young age, but rising above the ‘stuff’ to choose his own adventure, to create his own future – to decide his own destiny.

Nathan understands what it feels like to try to form and discover your own identity and purpose. He has learned that life’s battles can be won, armed with a sense of humor and an optimistic attitude. Sharing his struggles, Nathan encourages young people to view their lives through a new lens. This empowering story of triumph encourages teens to understand that our destiny is not determined by the ‘stuff’ that happens to us, the ‘stuff’ which is out of our control. But our destiny is determined by the decisions we make in response to those things.

Topics Covered in DECIDE YOUR OWN DESTINY Include:

  • Stuff happens – It’s How You Deal With It!
  • Decisions Create Destiny
  • You Cant Change The Past – You Can Create The Future
  • The Curse of Comparison
  • The Blame Game

Across the half day engaging and interactive program the students will learn about the following:

  • Increased ability to cope with stress and adversity
  • Learn strategies and techniques to manage stressful situations
  • Develop a “Growth Mindset”
  • Confidence to approach new situations and new people

After only two years of implementation, there were substantial improvements in participating schools’ course failure, dropout, student attendance and suspension rates.” Dr. Stanley J. Schneider, Senior Vice President of Metis Associates.
